Chicago Landscape 2012
Skyscrapers and beaches are the basis of this canvas. A drawing evolved over a 5 hour walk round Chicago. A city rich in style and passion with corners of suburbia built in. The river and stars are reflected in the painting across the lake.

Maths V Mass June 2010
This canvas was originally conceived at York Minster following a coffee in Starbucks and an overheard conversation between 2 students discussing a maths problem. It is basically multicultural religious views verses science and maths.

Bamberg December 2008
My first canvas in 25 years was inspired by the historic town of Bamberg in Upper Franconia and its brightly decorated "Rathaus" which straddles the River Regnitz. The shapes endeavour to capture the slip into Winter as the seasons change.

New York Life 2009
This piece reflects New York's complexity as a modern city with its cultures, buildings and parks. The colours celebrate its diversity while underlining the geometric footprint of its inhabitants and their vibrant lifestyles.
|
African Orgy 2009
Use of bright hot reds and dark rich browns create an erotic and interesting mixture of lust and earthly passions. The weaving forms dance in a connected show of affection, while creating the feeling of a single presence on the canvas.
|
Wall Hanger 2009
New office with big white empty walls. A solution was required so I painted this canvas as a wall hanger and the name has stuck. Nothing too elaborate in the thinking of colours - they were left on the pallet from a previous painting.

Colours for my Bedroom 2010
Very simply "Craig I need something big in grey and purple, for over the bed, to go with the new bed sheet's" Quick project with clear guidelines and a project manager to boot - get it right and then happy wife, happy life - simple.

Earth in a Box 2010
The earth has become a commodity. I think we have forgotten how much we should cherish our home and the wonders it has given us and not continually violate it's surface and core simply to make a short term buck profit.
|
Green Nation War Flag 2011
An ironic statement about war and the rivers of blood that run when we make a stand on land ownership. We are but visitors in this life and our value should be gauged by who we inspire, who we aid and above all who we respect.
|
Golf on Kingsbarns 2008
A moment in time at Kingsbarns Golf Course with friends. The colours and contours aim to mimic the undulations of this famous links course and its prime location on the Links outside the old Scottish town of St Andrews .
|
First Forbidden Love 2008
A statement on the act of Love. The colours and the positioning of the shapes are a comment on the two powers in any relationship; one dominant and the other subservient. It has a cold reality feeling about it.
|
First Effort in 25 Years 2008
So many mistakes in this piece and so rough it makes me cringe even now - but it did get me started and made me realise that if I wanted to get the finished item I craved it would never come quickly or without many false starts.

Green with Envy 1990
I was in the south of France during the Italia1990 World Cup finals at a café in Antibes when an Aston Martin pulled up with an old prune driving. Already a bit envious I went off the charts when a young blond jumped in beside him.
|
Traditional Nude 1984
This painting came about due to peer pressure. It was never enough to have imagination, you needed to be able to paint the human form if you wanted to succeed. This was as far as I allowed myself to bend in conforming to others.
|
Modern Messiah 1990
Modern Messiah is a painting that is in a constant state of change. Designed to compliment my poem Modern Messiah, the canvas has morphed from a statement on writers to a collection of shapes and colours looking for a home.
|
Last Day 1984
The last day in 1984 was a difficult one for me. I was living alone in Germany on New Year's eve. I had the window to my room open and could hear the revellers warming up. I started painting about the Last Day and found this.
|
Work and Wine 1983
Work, wine and beer was where I spent my time in 1983 and 1984. From working in a local hotel, painting and drinking wine at night to playing football, drinking beer and singing German football songs at the weekend. Enfach so.
|
Sunflowers 1983
Probably my most favourite piece from my time in Germany. This is painted on a cotton sheet using a pallet knife and it seems like a ton of paint. Wet on wet technique all done in a single visit to the canvas with no corrections.
|
Man on Bike 1983
Man on Bike was a painting I did for an exhibition in Erlangen. It is a traditional wet on wet styled painting that took 90 minutes to do. I simply got it right the first time and although for weeks after I went to change it, it remains as is.
|
Fish Flying in Coral 2013
As I continue to explore depth and distance in my paintings as an expression of substance, this sketch, conceived in Orlando's Millennium Mall in 2013, attempts to narrate the crowds visiting the attractions and their interaction.
|
Co-habitation Realisation 2014
The aim of this piece is to articulate the need for nature and enterprise to live in harmony. The colours are used to define the shared environment and the shapes represent perceived urban and natural elements.
|
Billy Goat One Chicago 2012
As the initial sketch of the Billy Goat experience, this piece was reflective of the people who crossed my path while sitting at a the bar reading the Jack Reacher novel "Killing Floor". Families, students and workers all stopped for a Drambuie.
|
Billy Goat Two Chigago 2012
Great day started with breakfast at the Billy Goat restaurant on Navy Pier in Chicago and finished with a second bottle of Drambuie, discussions on Vince Flynn and people from 7 countries singing The Music Man with 15 verses.
